I rediscovered my artistic side through my acrylic paintings, scenic stage art for local theatre productions, as well as performing as an actor throughout the Sacramento region on both stage and screen.
My first artist success was with the 1975 Sacramento Festival of the Arts, where I was awarded a Purchase Award for my painting “Waterfall”. I believe it was later sold to the Crocker Art Gallery, but the pieces’ current location is as yet, unknown to me. While I initially sought to live the artist life, alas, it was not meant to be. My life path and focus changed; so...instead of canvases and paint brushes, my career path included computers and coding. Career, marriage and family responsibilities (proud father of three) took priority over my art until….
Fast forward to 2015 and the artistic spark was lit once again when an opportunity was presented to me. Encouraged by my amazing wife Shaleen to enter the Disney’s D23 Expo 2015 Design Challenge, part of the biennial Disney fan convention known as the D23 Expo. I was selected as one of 23 finalists of this national art competition for my piece celebrating the 6oth anniversary of Disneyland and Sleeping Beauty’s castle. My work was a collage of nine acrylic paintings that visually told the history of the iconic castle and was on display for the duration of the 2015 D23 Expo.
I reside in West Sacramento with my wife Shaleen (married 2005).
Hobbies? Once up0n a time, I was a working magician, limited success but then found my talents lie more as an actor. Surprised me too.
An award winning actor of film and stage. Oh…not enough to make a living but it is a very fun hobby. I continue to perform on stage in Sacramento, CA and surrounding areas. You can actually see me on stage from time to time and recently complete his is first feature length film titled "Redemption Value" by John Maniaci which can be seen on Amazon Prime and Tubi. Please do a search on "Redemption Value".
